At Mad Science, we are having a blast! We pay you to have fun! Build and fly rockets, demonstrate lasers, explore the states of matter using dry ice, and help children create slime and other polymers. You will inspire the next generation of scientists through our innovative activities that show kids what science is really about.

Job Summary
- As a Mad Scientist, you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities, and amazing take-home projects that will illustrate how science affects the world around us. Mad Science is the world’s leading provider of fun science programs for elementary-aged children.
Responsibilities
- Presenting a one-hour science enrichment show using a pre-set, easy-to-understand curriculum to large groups of children.
- Each show is high-energy. It’s part entertainment, part education.
- Enjoy teaching children the fascinating wonders of science!
- Pay is piecework at $40 per show. This includes all prep time and clean up. Training is at $14.35/hour.
- Number of shows per week varies from 1-5.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is an asset
- A reliable car- Locations of shows are all across Maricopa County, but you choose which ones to accept.
- Flexible working hours
- Fun and outgoing personality!
- Presentation or acting experience.
- Completes background check
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
