Build and fly rockets, demonstrate lasers, explore the states of matter using dry ice, and help children create slime and other polymers. Job Summary
As a Mad Scientist, you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery methods involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities, and amazing take-home projects that will illustrate how science affects the world around us. Mad Science is the world’s leading provider of fun science programs for elementary-aged children.
As a Mad Scientist, you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery methods involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities, and amazing take-home projects that will illustrate how science affects the world around us. Responsibilities
- Deliver 1- hour after-school science enrichment programs using a pre-set, easy-to-understand curriculum.
- Each session is high-energy. It’s part entertainment, part education, through a hands-on after-school class that meets for one hour each week for 6 or 8 weeks.
Schedule and Pay
- You will be scheduled on programs close to home two or more afternoons per week.
- Mileage compensated for any program over 25 mile round trip.
- $40 for every 1.5 hour program.
Requirements
- Experience working with children.
- A reliable car.
- Fun and outgoing personality!
- Must be comfortable undergoing a background check.
- Availability 2 or more afternoons per week between 2:30-5:30PM.
Compensation: $40.00 per hour
