Equipment Driver for Mad Science Summer Camps - DMV

Full Time • Silver Spring
At Mad Science of DC, we are having a BLAST! We bring fun, exciting science to kids, through our summer camps, after school clubs, school-wide assemblies, and birthday parties. We run camps all over the DMV!

Of course, it takes a tremendous amount of hard work to bring Mad Science to tens of thousands of kids each year, and that's where you would come in. As a Summer Driver, you would play an integral role in our small business’s summer camp operations. 

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
June 12th - August 22nd 2025


Main responsibilities:
  • Delivering the supplies we use at summer camp every day, including chemicals & fragile equipment
  • Driving company vehicles safely
  • Picking up used equipment from camp locations
  • You will NOT be transporting children

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is organized and passionate about doing the job right
  • Has high attention to detail
  • Is willing and capable of rolling up their sleeves and working hard, regularly lifting 30+ pounds of equipment, standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Lives in the area and is willing to commute to our Silver Spring office each day
  • Can pass a background check
  • Is available to work full time, 6/12-8/22
  • Has experience driving large vehicles
  • Will be at least 21 years of age on May 1st, 2025
